The plaque of “The Wonderland”

The plaque is hung on the west corridor of Luokeng Abode with the inscription “Written and record by Prince of the Second Rank in the 9th lunar month, autumn of Tongzhi Period, under the south window of Qinghong Pavilion” and a seal. The black cursive script in a yellow background follows the tradition of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi, while the structure and strokes are under the influence of the styles of Zhao Mengfu and Dong Qichang. This is a prevailing characteristic and trend at that time. “The Wonderland” means the gorgeous scenery that can rarely be seen in the world.
