The couplet reading “Vines of trailing plants tangle and wind and the road looks like a seal character; ridges and peaks dot the landscape and the mountain is lavish like the spring.”

The couplet is hung on Luofeng Gate. The inscription on the left roll reads “The Fourth Month of Ji Hai of Guangxu Period” and on the right it reads “SuRuohu” with a seal. The black regular-cursive scripts in a yellow background demonstrate the profound calligraphic skills with a touch of the style of Huang Tingjian and the structure following that of Zhao Mengfu. With such freedom in strokes and the spirit of calligraphy, the author is truly a master calligrapher. As an acrostic couplet, the respective first Chinese characters of the two rolls make up the name of Luofeng.
