Sixth Ancestral Hall of the Zhong Clan

First built in the Ming Dynasty, the Sixth Ancestral Hall of the Zhong Clan underwent renovations from time to time. The southwest-facing hall has three main rooms and three yards. It features masonry-timber structure, herringbone-shaped fire-sealing gable wall and keel design. Zhong Yuanfu, the forefather of 7th generation, was enshrined in the hall. As Yuanfu was the sixth oldest child in the family, the hall is also called “Liuzong Temple”. His son Zhong Wenbing was transferred to his legal wife to preserve the legitimism, so the hall is also called “Baozong Hall”. The exquisite wood carvings on the beam frame are well preserved.
